Susbridge Knowledge Lab
The Knowledge Lab is our experimental space where we test new methods, tools, and narratives for sustainability learning and communication in Africa.
What We Do
The Lab explores how data, media, and design can work together to make sustainability knowledge more accessible, contextual, and actionable. We experiment, prototype, and publish, developing open knowledge tools and insights that help organizations and communities move from knowing to doing.
Our Areas of Exploration:

Knowledge Systems
We design frameworks that improve how sustainability information is collected, shared, and understood, turning complexity into clarity.

Communication Experiments
We test new storytelling formats, from data-driven narratives to multimedia essays, exploring how creative communication can influence change.

Research & Prototyping
We develop and pilot open-source models, toolkits, and studies that support impact measurement, policy insight, and organizational learning.

Collaboration & Co-creation
We partner with universities, think tanks, and creative teams to incubate ideas that challenge conventional thinking about sustainability in African contexts.
Current & Recent Projects
Here’s what we’ve worked on to push the boundaries of sustainability knowledge.

Between petrol and diesel, which harms more, and what should we do with that knowledge now, before electric cars even arrive?

Partner With the Lab
Whether you’re a research institution, creative collective, or mission-driven organization, we welcome collaboration that pushes boundaries.
Let’s prototype the future of sustainability knowledge together.
